Ружите одамна ги привлекувале луѓето со своите убави и мирисни цветови. Припаѓаат на истоимената фамилија, а денес на пазарот можат да се пронајдат ружи кои се разликуваат по висината на растот, обликот, бојата и мирисот на цветовите. Доколку сакаме ружите да ги разубавуваат нашите дворови, потребно е адекватно да се припремаат за зимата.

Добрата припрема за презимување ќе оневозможи грмушката на ружата да презими без оштетување. Нема да дојди до замрзнување и овенување. Сите активности на грмушката треба да се направат во периодот октомври- ноември во зависност од временските прилики.

Различни сорти различно реагираат

Секоја сорта, хибрид или култивар на ружите различно ќе реагира на појавата на ниските температури. Треба да се знае дека старите сорти се поотпорни отколку новосоздадените хобриди. старите сорти го завршуваат цветањето порано, го прекинуваат растот и се припремаат за зимата. Кај новите ружи подолг е периодот на цветање и тие немаат време да се припремат за зимата и да се здрват изданоците. Ружите со потемна боја на цветот, како црвената, се поотпорни на ниските температури од ружите со светли цветови, белите ружи.

Грмушката на ружите треба да се прекрие и така да се заштити од влијанието на ниските температури. Ружите се многу осетливи на колебањето на температурата.

За да ја дочекаат ружите зимата спремни, потребно е на крајот на летото да се престани со берење на цветовите и да се остави ружата самата да формира плод, шип. Тоа на ружата ќе и биди знак да се спреми за зимата и да престани со вегетативен раст. Нездрвените, слаби и болни пупки ќе ја пренесат ниската температура натаму на рстението и така можат да предизвикаат пропаѓање на целата грмушка. Неможиме да влијаеме на временските прилики, но можиме да ги припремиме ружите да презимат.

Режењето на грмушката треба да се прави кога денот е ладен и без врнежи. Да не се режи кога има мраз и температурата е под нула. Доколку режењето би се вршело за време на дождлив ден, што треба да се избегнува, раните кои настануваат на растението при режењето се идеални за влез на патогени кои предизвикуваат заболувања. Да се избегнува режење и кога времето е топло, затоа што и тоа можи да предизвика будење на пупките и повторен вегетативен раст. Новоизраснатите пупки би измрзнале за време на зимата.

Да се избегнуваат вештачки материјали за прекривање на ружите( најлон, церади)

За режењето на ружите се користи квалитетни остри ножици. над пупките треба да се направи кос рез. Треба да се избере пупка која на пролет ќе се развие во насока во која сакаме грмушката да се шири.

Начинот на режење зависи од типот на ружата. Ружите лазачи најчесто се кратат за третина. Најдобро е конечното режење на лазачите да се остави за пролет.

Грмушката на ружата е потребно да се прекрива за да се заштитува од ниските температура. Ружите се многу осетливи на колебањето на температурата. Ова треба да се има на ум и кај изборот на материјалот за прекривање. Треба да се избегнува користење на вештачки материјали за покривање ( најлон, церада). Вакви прекривачи термички ќе ја затворат грмушката, после што ќе се зголеми влажноста која можи да предизвика трулење и замрзнување на грмушката.

Користете природни материјали

Исто така треба да се избегнува песок и пилевина. Тие во текот на зимата ја упиваат влагата и ќе имаат ист ефект како вештачките материјали и ќе предизвикуваат побрзо трулење. Најдобро е да се користат природни материјали за прекривање на грмушката на ружата- земја, лисја, гранки од зимзелени растенија, снег, трска. Како заштита можат да се користат и различни сандуци од дрво како и картонски кутии. Што и да се прави треба да се создаде амбиент да диши ружата.

Земјата околу грмушката можи да се копа и грмушката да се натрупа со слој ископана земја. Земјата во пролет, после топењето на снегот, полека се трга. Копањето на ружите допринесува за презимување на поголемиот број на пупки. Освен тоа со семјата можи да се помеша слој слама, лисја.

Доколку грмушката на ружата ја прекриваме со лисја тогаш слојот лисја треба да биди најмалку дебел 10 цм. Ваквиот покривач е добар за благи зими.
