Рузмаринот е грмушка со трајно зелена боја, кој заради ароматичните листови се употребува како зачин. Некогаш рузмаринот го употребувале при разни обреди, како и во медицината. Грците верувале дека тој тој го стимулира мозокот да работи и затоа бил симбол за сеќавање. Исто така старите Грци рузмаринот го посветиле на Афродита, божицата на убавината и љубовта.

Омилен зачин и лек

Рузмаринот успева во лошата земја но мораме д аго заштитиме од северниот и источниот ветер. Расти и до 1,5 м високо. Брзо фаќа дрво а можи да израсти и од гранчиња кои ги сечиме откако растението ќе расцвета.. Ако во близина има песоклива земја, рузмаринот можеби и самиот ќе засјае. Можи да го оштети навистина остра зима. Цветот на рузмаринот е бледомодар.

Рузмаринот е омилен зачин и лек. Свежиот рузмарин во старото вино е добар тоник за срцето, а посебно поволно делува и против снижен притисок. Многу е корисен лек за бледи, слабии стари луѓе. После грип, чаша од вино од рузмарин ќе допринесе за побрзо оздравување.

Рузмаринот помага кај настинки, спазам на жолчните и мокрачните патишта, кај физичка и психичка исцрпеност. Поволно влијае на нервите на крвните садови, а посебно на срцевите нерви.

Во исхраната уште од римското време

Главна употреба на рузмаринот е во врска со нервите и циркулацијата. Денес воглавно се употребува за надворешно втривање и за купки. За срцевите проблеми добро се покажала маста од рузмарин, која се втрива наутро и навечер на градниот кош над срцето.

Игличестите листови на рузмаринот се употребуваат во исхраната уште од римско време, посебно при подобрување на варењето. Во современата кујна рузмаринот се користи скоро во сите медитерански јадења, посебна нота дава во јадењата од пилешко и дивеч. Исклучителен деликатес претставува мешање на свежо исецкани листови рузмарин со сол, кое потоа се употребува како зачин во јадењата.
